Privacy Policy
This page explains what information WorkLinkHub holds about you, why, and what control you have. WorkLinkHub is based in Ireland and follows the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Last updated: September 2026 · Version 1.1
Information we collect
- Account details: email address and sign-in information.
- Profile details you choose to add: name, country of residence, town/city, region or county, languages, skills, interests, availability, photo and description.
- Date of birth, which is stored privately and used to apply age-appropriate features. It is never shown on your public profile.
- Content you create: posts, listings, needs and offers, comments, messages, saved items and connections.
- Support requests, feedback and reports you send us.
- Basic technical information needed to run and secure the service.
How we use it
- To provide your account, profile, search, matching and messaging.
- To show you relevant opportunities and people.
- To keep the platform safe: preventing scams, abuse and misuse, and handling reports.
- To answer your support requests and improve WorkLinkHub based on feedback.
What other people can see
Your public profile shows only the fields you have chosen to share. Private information — date of birth, your sign-in email, phone numbers and other contact details — is never published unless you deliberately add it to a field you have chosen to make public.
Young people's profiles have stricter defaults, are not included in public search, and are kept separate from the adult community.
Feedback and reports
Feedback and reports are stored privately and can be read only by authorised WorkLinkHub administrators. They are never shown publicly and are not shared with the person or content reported.
External sources
Opportunities imported from official and approved external sources keep their original source link. When you open an original source or apply on a provider's website, that organisation's own privacy policy applies.
Healthcare Directory Information
WorkLinkHub may process publicly available professional and business information so people can discover healthcare and support services. This can include the practice or centre name, a publicly listed professional name, the business address, phone number, website, opening hours, service category and other publicly available directory information.
WorkLinkHub does not intentionally collect or publish private medical records, confidential patient information or personal health records as part of the public healthcare directory.
Healthcare providers may contact WorkLinkHub to request correction or review of directory information where appropriate, using Help & Support or the correction link on a listing.
Sharing and storage
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers needed to run WorkLinkHub (for example hosting and database services), or where we are required to by law.
Data is stored on servers within the EU where possible. We keep information for as long as your account is active, and delete or anonymise it afterwards, except where we must keep records for safety or legal reasons.
When you accept our Terms, Community Guidelines or Privacy Policy, we keep a private record of which versions you accepted and when. If you delete your account, the record is detached from your profile and reduced to pseudonymised legal-consent evidence: the accepted versions, the acceptance time, and a scrambled identifier that lets us confirm a specific past acceptance only if you raise a dispute. WorkLinkHub's proposed retention period for this evidence is six years after account deletion, chosen for limited legal and compliance purposes and subject to legal review. A scheduled server-side process then permanently deletes it. It is never public and never shown to other members.
Your rights
- Access a copy of the information we hold about you.
- Correct anything inaccurate — most fields can be edited directly in your profile.
- Delete your account and associated personal data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie), or your local supervisory authority.
